Spy Art Madrid

While the average person walks down the street and will see mainly the overall landscape, losing their surroundings in the rush from point A to B, street artists and graffiti writers tend to have a different way of looking at their environment. They will see things not as they are, but what they could be. They will notice those things in your daily life that go unnoticed, such as street signs, cracks in buildings, mailboxes, etc. But, for an artist or a writer, these are the parts of the environment most susceptible to their modifications. Madrid’s SpY is a fine example of how a few minor tweaks to the landscape can really mix things up.
