Growing up I always said I would have a pool table in place of a dining room table, assuming I ever lived in an apartment large enough to house a pool table, plus the space needed to properly hold a full sized cue. A pool table to me serves a dual purpose, both sport and the capability of dining - just add chairs. Apparently I am not alone in my thoughts as Italian designer Danilo Calvache created the triangle fruit bowl, essentially a recontextualized pool ball rack. See more of Danilo’s work here.
