This Friday (01.15.2010) come on over to my ‘hood and find out who makes the best (insert Italian accent) meat-a-ball in NYC at the Meatball Slapdown. The event, being held at 100 Frost St., features five fine Brooklyn restaurants, including Frankie’s Spuntino, Bamonte’s, Roebling Tea Room, The Meat Hook and Roberta’s participating in the first-off of this planned annual event. For $75. at the door, or $50. via PayPal pre-order, you can indulge in the meaty, saucy goodness, complete with pasta and open bar. Don’t worry you’re gluttony and getting sloshed are all for a good cause, as all proceeds go to benefit Brooklyn Grange, a rooftop agricultural haven set for North Brooklyn.
