Artworld Salon is a moderated discussion covering a wide range of artworld topics, including: the economic shifts roiling its markets; the internationalization and expanding number of its players; the impact of technological developments; and the rapid changes in both the broader perception of the artworld and the artworld’s perception of itself. ASD Labs built AWS an elegant, dynamic WordPress-based blog system so that they could easily manage the site themselves as they grow and add contributors and features.
We built the new website for David Gensler’s magazine of culture, art and…well, we should probably just let David explain it: “Royal is the private journal of The KDU. (Keystone Design Union). The publication focuses on Collisions, Culture and Capitalism. We believe that we are more than just editors or filters. We believe in active media, and live by the rule of “never just observe, always interact.” We believe that the gravity of our culture is so powerful, nothing and no one are immune to its pull. We are dedicated to injecting sensation back into a numb world. Trust the KDU. ”
Proof7 provides high-end printing services to discerning NYC clientele, including the fashion, art and design worlds, and they needed a site that reflected this. We built them a flash site for their printing services, as well as a separate blog that they use as an outlet for their thoughts on everything from sneakers to tshirts to politics to the latest obscure clip that they dug up on YouTube. Definitely worth a read.
When we met Barney (B Kool as he’s known in the inner city ghettos), he was looking for love in all the wrong places. Now, with his spanking new site, love comes looking for him. His work is being acquired by museum directors and even the Wall Street Journal is writing articles about him. We wish we could claim that our work is the reason for his recent success but the truth is, his photography is amazing! Too bad we can’t afford it.
Alison Chernick was given the opportunity to accompany Matthew Barney during the filming of his latest oeuvre, “Drawing Restraint 9″. The result is a documentary that explores both his latest work and the history of this fascinating artist. We got to build the website for the film. Check out the film at festivals across the country this summer!
This is a YouTube video of the London based decapitator doing what he does best (cutting the heads off in advertisements)- this time David Beckham is the victim.
