When David Gensler {THE KDU} introduced us to Corey Smyth at Blacksmith we had no idea what we were in for. A show featuring Talib Kweli, Jean Grae, and Strong Arm Steady had been scheduled and Blacksmith wanted to have a site up prior to the event. Two sleepless weeks later we launched a full site with artist profiles, event listings, and a blog integrated into the home page. It is amazing what can be accomplished when you get a situation where the fit with a client is as awesome as it was with Blacksmith. We would especially like to thank Claudine at Blacksmith for all her help - Claudine, there’s no way this could have happened in the time frame that it did without you, thank you!

Proof7 provides high-end printing services to discerning NYC clientele, including the fashion, art and design worlds, and they needed a site that reflected this. We built them a flash site for their printing services, as well as a separate blog that they use as an outlet for their thoughts on everything from sneakers to tshirts to politics to the latest obscure clip that they dug up on YouTube. Definitely worth a read.

Boy, talk about clarity in aesthetic vision! Mucca Design, challenged, uh, I mean hired us to build their very sophisticated portfolio site. We went a step further and created a full PHP/MySQL CMS serving up data dynamically into a FLASH front end using XML. If the techno-babble acronyms don’t impress you, just check out the site and enjoy Mucca’s beautiful, award winning work.

We helped out with some presentations, video spot conversions & optimization, a little design, and created a DVD for their marketing department. Normally this is not enough work to get you listed up on our site, but damn it, we’re addicted to the popcorn. DTP, you’re on our project list, now send more popcorn!

When we met Barney (B Kool as he’s known in the inner city ghettos), he was looking for love in all the wrong places. Now, with his spanking new site, love comes looking for him. His work is being acquired by museum directors and even the Wall Street Journal is writing articles about him. We wish we could claim that our work is the reason for his recent success but the truth is, his photography is amazing! Too bad we can’t afford it.

Alison Chernick was given the opportunity to accompany Matthew Barney during the filming of his latest oeuvre, “Drawing Restraint 9″. The result is a documentary that explores both his latest work and the history of this fascinating artist. We got to build the website for the film. Check out the film at festivals across the country this summer!
